Family and business succession planning.

The safe handover of wealth, business and responsibility to the next generations — comprehensive, discreet, and seen through to implementation.

Kancelaria LTF Sp. z o.o. Advisers Group Est. 2010
§ 01 — About us

A legal team specialised in succession planning.

We have worked together since 2010, as one of the pioneers of succession planning in Poland.

We assist private clients, families, entrepreneurs and corporate entities in the safe transfer of wealth, businesses and responsibility to the next generations. Under the umbrella of the firm we bring together lawyers, tax advisers, and cooperating managers, trainers, mediators and psychologists — practitioners from all the fields needed to build a real succession plan.

We deliver full process support — from education and the design of solutions through to their implementation and long-term follow-up. The defining feature of our work is a focus on the client's actual needs. Our role is not colourful storytelling and the production of paperwork, but a job done properly.

A real succession plan is the one that has been implemented — not the one that is beautifully described.

§ 02 — Clients

Who we work with.

i.

Institutional partners

We cooperate with most of the Polish financial market — banks, insurance companies and advisory firms. We train their teams, support their internal processes, and design succession solutions for their clients.

ii.

Private and corporate clients

Our clients span the full social spectrum. We deliver succession plans both within families and within companies — from straightforward private arrangements to complex multi-generational business projects.

§ 03 — Services

The core areas of our work.

01

Education

Professional competence in succession matters demands continuous development. We share what we know.

  • Training for financial institutions and advisers
  • Themed conferences for clients
  • Workshops for sales and managerial teams
  • Industry publications and expert speaking engagements
02

Consulting and advisory

An individual analysis of the family and business situation. Without templates, without padding, without defensive generalities.

  • Legal and tax diagnosis of the starting position
  • Designing alternative solutions and a clear recommendation
  • Working sessions with the family or co-owners
  • Continuing support throughout implementation
03

Family succession plans

Passing wealth to people who have been chosen, prepared and are competent — without paralysis of management, and without statutory inheritance as the default position.

  • Wills (ordinary, with bequests, with executor)
  • Powers of attorney, marital property agreements
  • Gifts and specific (vindication) bequests
  • Wealth management for minors
04

Business succession plans

Continuity of existence and management of the business. The optimal legal form. Resilience to unforeseen events.

  • Conversion of legal entities and in-kind contributions
  • Review and modification of articles of association
  • Establishment of new entities
  • Succession of competence and management
05

Family foundations

Comprehensive advice on the Polish family foundation (fundacja rodzinna) — from the decision to establish one, through the statute, to the contribution of assets and ongoing operation.

  • Feasibility analysis and structural design
  • Statute, bodies' regulations, beneficiaries
  • Contribution of assets and valuation
  • Tax aspects of establishment and distributions
06

End-to-end process support

A succession plan is rarely just a matter of black-letter law. We combine legal and tax advisory with the support of psychologists, mediators, trainers and managers.

  • Family and shareholder mediation
  • Psychological support and succession coaching
  • Audit and design of successor competencies
  • Ongoing support after the plan has been implemented
§ 04 — Approach

Succession is a process — not a document.

It takes time, understanding, proper preparation, and the consistent implementation of decisions.

While we remain a legal team, we work closely with the best specialists in finance, psychology and management. We know that a succession plan is a process drawing on many competencies — and that a single document, however well drafted, cannot replace a thoughtful sequence of decisions over time.

Our work is built on a process-based approach — from understanding the family and business situation, through the design of the plan, to its implementation and the long-term support of the client and those around them.

i.

Reading the situation

Legal, tax and family diagnosis. A map of assets, relationships and risks. Understanding the goal, which is not always the one stated at the first meeting.

ii.

Designing the succession plan

Alternative solutions — with the legal, tax and financial consequences of each set out clearly. The decision belongs to the client, but it is now grounded in analysis rather than instinct.

iii.

Implementation

Preparation and execution of the legal acts — wills, agreements, conversions, registrations, filings. Coordination with notaries, tax advisers and financial institutions.

iv.

Non-legal support

Where it is needed — mediation, intergenerational conversations, coaching, preparing successors to take on responsibility. Without this, even the best plan will not take hold.

v.

Long-term support

Life changes; the plan has to change with it. We are here so that the client does not go through this process alone — neither at the moment of decision, nor ten years later.

§ 05 — How we cooperate

How we work.

We deliver succession planning through a network of competencies built up over more than fifteen years of practice.

  • i.

    A team of lawyers

  • ii.

    A partner tax advisory firm

  • iii.

    Partnerships with reputable financial institutions

  • iv.

    Mediators, psychologists, trainers, managers

  • v.

Openness to a changing world and its demands
